From the New York Times: “Ocasio-Cortez Pushes Democrats to the Left, Whether They Like It or Not.”

People, AOC has been in Congress for 11 days. She’s not pushing Democrats left. VOTERS are pushing Democrats to the left, at least in some districts. She’s evidence of a shift as much as a cause of it.

However much influence Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez might eventually have in the political system, her influence is only beginning. Attributing vast political shifts to Congresspeople who have only recently entered office, and whose election did not explain why lots of other Congresspeople won their offices at the same time, is just silly.

reminder that 30 isn’t old, it’s very normal to not accomplish everything in your 20s, and that it is never too late to learn that thing you’ve always wanted to learn. you’re always growing. that’s a good thing.
